Responsibilities
- Demonstrate and promote Quality Awareness amongst Front Office team
- Coordinates “rooms not ready” with the Front Office during periods of heavy occupancy
- Responsible for blocking all rooms prior to arrival, maintaining, and ensuring accurate inventory availability
- Assist with wholesale and group reservations when needed
- Keep all departments informed about room statuses, ensure reservations are in the system
- Look through group blocks to ensure availability and contracted room assignments are available
- Ensure the smooth operation of the Front Office and Housekeeping department and working closely with the Engineering Department
- Maintains strong, professional relationships with relevant representatives from competitor hotels, business partners and other organizations
- Prepare and ensure timely delivery of daily reports to rooms department
- Assuring that all Front Desk colleagues are continually updated with the hotel promotions, rates, packages, and discounts
- Work closely with North Carolina central reservation Team
- Assisting as hotel phone operator for the Front Desk
- Perform any additional scope of duties if requested by the management
- Previous experience in high customer contact environment
- Basic office duties 1-2 years
Requirements and Qualifications
- High/MBO Diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience in a similar position
- Fluent in English, Papiamento, Spanish and Dutch
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Service Oriented with previous experience in a high customer contact environment
- Knowledge of software such as IQ Trac and IQ ware
- Can work with Excel, Microsoft Office and other related operating systems
- 1-2 years of Experience with General Office Duties
- Has a Dutch Passport or a valid work permit
