Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Specialist to join our team at the Aruba Beach Club. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of our IT infrastructure, lead projects from inception to deployment, and ensure seamless operation of our systems. This role requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of IT processes, and the ability to provide top-notch support to our staff and guests.
Position Profile
- Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, and networks.
- Develop, prepare and maintain a comprehensive Disaster Recovery Plan.
- Provide Maintenance and support for IP PBX Systems.
- Manage SQL Server and generate reports using Crystal Reports.
- Develop and Maintain programs, with proficiency in ColdFusion.
- Monitor and troubleshoot system performance and security issues.
- Manage IT infrastructure, including backups, updates, and patches.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and address technology needs.
- Develop and implement IT policies, procedures and best practices.
- Conduct regular system audits and generate comprehensive reports.
- Stay current with the latest technology trends and industry best practices.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT support or a similar role.
- Strong Experience with network administration and cybersecurity best practices.
- Proven proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified Professional and 3CX) are a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and experience with integrated resort and timeshare information systems. ( e.g. TSW ).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong time management and supervisory abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Fluency in English, Spanish, Dutch, and Papiamento.
- Flexibility in varying hours, including evenings and weekends.
