Position Highlights

Maintenance Technician. In this essential technical role, you are responsible for maintaining the functional integrity and safety of our resort facilities. Your core purpose is to perform preventive maintenance, complex repairs, and troubleshooting across various systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. You ensure that our resort remains a safe, comfortable, and pristine environment for our local and international guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive preventive maintenance schedules for resort equipment and guest rooms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to HVAC, electrical systems, and plumbing infrastructure.
• Perform general repair work in public areas and guest suites to maintain high aesthetic and functional standards.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest maintenance requests with a service-oriented mindset.
• Conduct routine safety inspections of building systems and mechanical equipment.
• Collaborate with the engineering team on large-scale renovation and facility upkeep projects.
• Maintain an organized and safe workshop environment while managing tools and material inventories.
• Adhere strictly to all resort safety protocols, building codes, and operational procedures.

Requirements, Skills & Traits

Requirements:

Minimum LTS, EPB, or EPI diploma in a technical field such as Electrical, Mechanical, or HVAC engineering. At least three to five (3–5) years of relevant experience in property maintenance, preferably within a resort or hospitality setting. Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Core Skills:

Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems. Hands-on expertise in plumbing and general construction repairs. Effective multilingual communication skills in English and Spanish.

Soft Skills:

Proactive problem-solver with a detail-oriented approach. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor.

Success Metrics

Demonstrated consistency in the timely and effective resolution of guest-reported maintenance issues. Sustained uptime and efficiency of critical resort mechanical and electrical systems. High compliance with safety inspection schedules and preventive maintenance protocols.
